Trump considers military action against Iran amid ongoing protests

NEW YORK – US President Donald Trump has stated that various options, including military action, are under consideration in response to the ongoing unrest in Iran.

In a conversation aboard Air Force One en route to Washington DC, Trump mentioned that he is in contact with Iranian opposition leaders.

The president also confirmed plans to discuss internet restoration in Iran with billionaire Elon Musk, citing Musk’s expertise and the capabilities of his company.

Trump revealed that Iran had recently reached out to discuss the nuclear deal, and while the US is open to talks, military options are being weighed.

Reports suggest that the US is considering cyber operations, new sanctions, and targeting Iran’s security forces as part of its response.

In response, Iran has warned the US of retaliation against any aggression, as protests continue in the country. According to Iranian human rights organizations, 192 individuals have been killed in the ongoing demonstrations that have now lasted for two weeks.

As unrest continues, Iran’s government has announced a three-day period of mourning for those killed, and a major rally is set to take place today in Tehran.

Iranian officials have accused the U.S. and Israel of instigating the violence, claiming they aim to destabilize the country.
