Theme of the Forum:

In response to the Amnesty International reports on human rights, GSISD, a global public policy think tank is going to organize an international forum (Hybrid Format) on Human Rights, Capitalism and Sustainable Development: Global Approaches and Perspectives on 73rd session of the United Nations Committee on Economic and Social Cultural Rights (ESCR). The purpose of this webinar is to highlight Chinese impressive development and poverty eradication in the region. The current global debates on human rights propagate singe westernized version, however the missing point is explaining alternatives versions on human rights and development. The human development index of China is growing up since recent past. Moreover, the Chinese role in regional and global development is unprecedented. In recent defaming of China by global capitalist driven organizations like Amnesty International, the proposed international forum is an addition to highlight alternative perspectives. The single sided version of defaming propaganda is neglecting realities on the ground. The global renowned speakers will highlight and analyze the Chines contributions in the field of human development and their rights by incorporating global perspectives including 73rd session of the United Nations Committee on Economic and Social Cultural Rights (ESCR) held in United Nations HQ, Geneva, Switzerland this month.
